Sajha Sahayatri Nepal, embodies unity and collective progress toward shared objectives. Sajha Sahayatri Nepal founded on December 21, 2021, as a non –profit organization at the company registration office in kathamndu, and officially registered with the Social Welfare Council on January 4, 2022 . Our organization operates with a clear vision: to rehabilitate and empower girls who are survivors of sexual violence, while fostering a societal shift towards compassion and support. Led by a diverse and committed executive board, including Gita KC Darnal as founding Chairperson of Sajha Sahayatri Nepal is dedicated to creating a society free from sexual violence. Sexual violence, particularly rape, stands out as one of the most abhorrent forms of brutality pervading our society. Alarmingly, its primary victims are often girls, with statistics revealing a chilling reality: every day in Nepal, police reports document the harrowing ordeals of seven women and girls, five of whom fall within the vulnerable age bracket of 5 to 18 years old. Tragically, many of these assaults result in the untimely demise of innocent lives. Yet, these reported cases likely represent only a fraction of the actual occurrences, leaving countless victims silent and suffering.
