Dr Eila Burns has a PhD in Educational Science from Jyväskylä University in Finland and an M.Ed in special needs education from the University of Birmingham in the UK. She has many years of experience as an educator, working in special needs secondary education, adult education, and higher education. She currently works as a Senior Researcher at Jamk University of Applied Sciences where she focuses on developing teacher education in the digital context. She is passionate about equality and equity in all aspects of life, particularly education, and cares deeply for the welfare and rights of girls and young women.
