Ashok Darnal has a BA in journalism from Ratna Rajya Laxmi campus kathamndu. He is active Dalit Right activist serving as profound young journalist in digital and print media. He has worked in various reputed national media houses including Kantipur, ABC television and Naya Patrika including series of publication in journals advocating against the prevailing caste based discrimination. He is a versatile media activist to fight against the right of untouchability who realized that there is need of separate media house to mainstream unheard stories of the vulnerable group. He firmly believes in access of Dalit in media house representation as a decision maker and presenter. With this belief he has established separate online media - dalitonline.com for the first time in Nepal which solely dedicated to promote Dalit Rights. He has carried out march pass against the cast based discrimination by walking on foot, a nationwide movement covering 1,321 km from far east to far west Nepal in 54 days. During the movement more than 6000 people came on the streets to join them at places creating social awareness against caste based discrimination.
